ABSTRACT Cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp.) is an excellent crop for research in semi-arid regions, due to its tolerance high temperatures and water deficit, with satisfactory yields rain-fed cultivation. The objective this work was evaluate the genotype x environment (G × E) interaction, adaptability stability of cowpea landraces used Cariri, Paraíba, semiarid region Northeast Brazil. experiment carried out under conditions two locations region. For all traits evaluated, G E interaction simple, which means that evaluated can be recommended different environments tested. results also suggest phenotypic selection efficient enhance yield and, therefore, practiced by farmers themselves. most advantageous were ranked good (qi <5%). Although performance standards between similar environments, best values obtained on farm environmental conservation history higher precipitation.
